About Khayari

Khayari means “my choice”

The name is more than a slogan. It is a promise that Palestinian women will have a clearer voice, more room to choose, and relationships that support their personal, professional, and community paths.

A registered Palestinian nonprofit led by Palestinian women

Khayari Organization for Palestinian Women’s Leadership and Economic Empowerment is a registered Palestinian nonprofit founded in Bethlehem in 2023 and led by Palestinian women. We build programs with participants and sustain relationships beyond a single training.

We welcome Palestinian women from varied backgrounds across cities, villages, and refugee camps.

Our mission

Pathways that strengthen choice and participation

Khayari Organization builds pathways to leadership and economic empowerment with young Palestinian women through applied learning, supportive community, and sustained relationships that strengthen choice and meaningful participation.

Our vision

A Palestinian women’s community that leads

A Palestinian women’s community in which women have the agency and space to choose, lead, support one another, and contribute to a more just society.

What makes Khayari distinct?

  • We build with women, not on their behalf.
  • We begin by listening to the needs participants express.
  • We connect personal identity, cultural belonging, leadership, and professional skills.
  • We continue after training through community, volunteering, mentoring, and participation.
  • We protect participants’ dignity, privacy, and right to choose what they share.
  • We connect knowledge with practice, choice, and the ability to influence.
